Marketing Tips: It takes a long time to be simple

Hello readers, It’s been a while since we’ve posted to our blog. Welcome back!

Before and afters are the simplest way to showcase your expertise, but putting your life’s work out there can be scary. I was recently listening to a Rich Roll podcast of an interview with Daniel Humm, owner of Eleven Madison Park restaurant – Number 1 of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2017. In the podcast, Daniel talks about the years of experience it took him before he could present a simple tomato salad consisting of just 3 ingredients.

“It takes a long time to be simple.” ~ Daniel Humm.

This made me think about you, our reader. What makes you reluctant to put your work “out there”?

Here are the top 5 reasons I hear for not having a better gallery:

  1. I can’t get my staff to tag the patients’ photos that are good enough to be in my gallery
  2. I don’t have time and my staff is too busy
  3. It’s too hard to get signed releases
  4. Patients don’t always come back for their post surgery photos
  5. I can’t get my staff to take photos of certain procedures so we just use provided stock content

If you listen to yourself intently for long enough you may find that these are just excuses to avoid putting your work out there for others to see, admire and possibly criticize.

Simply put, your before and after photos along with the person you are, speaks loud and clear. Listen again, what are your before and after photos telling you about the kind of practice you run?

If you’d like support in a kind and loving way to learn how to present your photos in their best possible light, I’d love to hear from you. Please Book A Meeting to reserve some time for us to talk together.

Smiles,
